The Village People:
Hillary:
“Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton is polishing up one of her more famous phrases as she edges closer to a presidential run, writing in a new introduction to her book “It Takes a Village” that Sept. 11 and the Internet make her tome on child-rearing even more relevant today.”
You Know? I’ve noticed that the people in my “village” really enjoy my children when they are well behaved, clean, and have had a good nights sleep.
But when one of my babies has pooped, barfed, is up all night with a fever, and/or generally crabby, those “villagers” expect me to come take care of my child.
I dont’ recall any village people offering to pay our bills, stay up in the wee smas so I could sleep, or discipline my children when they are being naughty.
No, Missy Clinton, it does not take a village to raise a child, it takes a family. And I can think of nothing worse for the children of the world than for the Global Village to take over the raising of children. If the pervs at the UN had any more access to the “children” we might as well close up shop as a society.
