Paul just read me an email from our nephew Michael, who is serving an LDS mission in the Ukraine. He and his companion were beat up recently by four drunken men. His nose was broken and his shoulder dislocated. I started crying as he read the story.
I love this faithful young man so much, and always think of him as a little boy playing family baseball at a reunion. I was pitching off and on with some of the other adults and when he came up to bat, he said he wanted “Aunt Jenny” to pitch to him.
As a young disciple of Christ, who is giving two years of his life to share the gospel with people in a foreign land, I am just so pleased that he has the courage to face evil and even have some of his own blood mixed into the dirt on the Ukraine soil as a testimony of his belief in the Savior.
