Cheney Reflects on Legacy, Defends Interrogation Policy
I watched most of this interview today and was impressed with Mr. Cheneys tone, smile, and confidence. Lehrer was as smug as ever.
I will be sad to see him go. As one of the responsible adults in DC these past eight years, he has carried the mother lode of liberal scorn and blame in the media.
He will be sorely missed by me.
I was telling my teens about the final weeks of the Clinton years as scandal after scandal erupted those last few days. Few people remember or talk about the trashing of the White House, the theft of furniture etc..by the Clintons, and the pardoning of some of the worst criminals. How refreshing to have President Bush and VP Cheney quietly leaving office with dignity and poise after keeping the country safe these past seven years since 9-11.
Watch the video attached to this story, it is a compelling thirty minutes from a man who has carried a very heavy weight on his shoulders and did it with confidence and class.
