Personal Liberty: Swine Flu A Dud—Unless You’re Big Pharma

The great swine flu hoax is finally fizzling out.

“Aside from an occasional public service announcement there is almost no mention of swine flu—or H1N1—in the media today. No more Kathleen Sebelius telling you to cough into your bent arm, no more government hucksters urging you get vaccinated.

And curiously, in the mainstream media there is no reflection on the “pandemic” as we approach the one-year anniversary of the first reports coming out of Mexico. Or maybe it’s not so curious after all.

It was last April that the outbreak began in Veracruz, Mexico. The mainstream media went nuts, providing daily tallies of infections and deaths from around the globe as it followed the spread of the so-called deadly disease. There were quarantines in Hong Kong and people wearing surgical masks in South America, China and Japan.

…PACE’s Health Committee Chairman, Dr. Wolfgang Wodarg, a former German lawmaker, medical doctor and epidemiologist, called the swine flu pandemic one of the greatest medical scandals of the century. Speaking on the Alex Jones radio program, Wodarg called it a hoax manufactured by the pharmaceutical companies in league with the WHO to make vast profits while endangering the public health. (prisonplanet.com)

And Wodarg told the U.K Daily Mail, “The governments have sealed contracts with vaccine producers where they secure orders in advance and take upon themselves almost all the responsibility. In this way the producers of vaccines are sure of enormous gains without having any financial risks. So they just wait until WHO says ‘pandemic’ and activate the contracts.”

Wodarg also told the Daily Mail that to further push their interests, leading drug companies placed “their people” in the “cogs” of the WHO and other influential organizations.”

Glenn Beck to Jim Wallis: The Hammer is Coming

Stu: Anything more American than a State Run Religion???

(Laugh out Loud Moment while watching this video)

More about the Wallis throw down to Beck at Huff Po:

“Christian author and social justice advocate Rev. Jim Wallis appeared on “Countdown with Keith Olbermann” Friday evening to talk about Glenn Beck’s recent attack on churches and religious leaders who preach social justice.

Last week, Beck, a Mormon, told his fans to scour their churches for any mention of social justice or economic justice. He said that both terms are “code words” that were used by Nazis and Communists and that if a church preached either, one should “run as fast as you can!”

Social Justice a part of every Mormon Congregation?  HOGWASH!

The difference between Social Justice as practiced by Collectivists and the Welfare Program of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is this:

Collectivists do their collecting at the point of a gun. If you don’t pay the government, you go to jail.  The Marxist creed “From each according to his ability to each according to his need” sounds so social justice like, but it is in fact parasitic looting at the government level with a gun in your face if you don’t “Contribute”.

Mormons donate to the welfare program of the Church as a sacred part of the Covenant relationship we all share together.  We voluntarily “share” the funds from fasting once a month with the Bishop in the form of Fast Offerings and he uses discretion and spiritual insight as to how to distribute those funds to the ward members.

We also donate ten percent of our income to the church in the form of Tithing.  These funds are also completely voluntary, and no one is kicked out of the church for not paying.  Not paying tithing keeps members out of the Temple, but anyone is welcome to attend our sunday services, even unbaptized members.

To say that Mormons, who have been some of the most vocal activists against collectivism for the past hundred years are wraped up in Marxist Ideology and Thinking at the congregational level, is just complete insanity.

If you would like a primer on what the Mormon Prophets have said about Politics for the past 175 years please refer to this online book, one of my personal favorites, Prophets, Principles, and National Survival.  It will educate the ignorant on how the Mormons feel about Political Issues regarding Marxism and Social Justice.

I completely support and endorse Glenn Becks throwdown to the Religious World to thrust the principles and practices of Collectivism out of their congregations…

Jenny Hatch

QUOTE from the Preface of the book Prophets, Principles, and National Survival:

“Of the many distinguishing doctrines of the Latter-day Saints, there is one of overriding significance in the present day struggle against the powers of collectivism. This doctrine called “Free agency, was clearly defined in a great pre-mortal struggle that all of us were involved in, which the Bible refers to as the “War In Heaven.” (Revelations 12: 7)

Mormons believe that men existed as distinct individuals with spirit bodies before they came to earth to receive their additional mortal bodies. In fact, our Father in Heaven realized that His spirit children, which we are, could not have a fulness of joy unless they received a mortal body.

We had progressed far enough in our pre-mortal state that our Heavenly Father felt we were ready for this physical body and the great opportunities of growth and development that mortality provides. Mortality would be a testing ground to see if we would choose to keep the various commandments of our Heavenly Father. And being free to prove ourselves, we could, if we desired, choose God’s way of life and eventually become like Him. The greatest of our Father’s children, Jesus Christ, offered to show His brothers and sisters the pattern we must follow here in mortality if we want to live with God eternally.

There was another spirit of some brilliance. He reasoned that if God’s children were sent to mortality and were free to choose or not to choose God’s type of life, many would not choose it. If this should happen, he properly concluded, they would miss the greatest blessing of all — to become like God, with all of its attendant happiness. Now to prevent this, his proposal was to force all of God’s children to do the right thing, in mortality, in order that not one soul would be lost from enjoying a God-like life. As the author of this program he also asked for great honor and authority that would have rivaled our Heavenly Father. The name of this spirit was Lucifer.

Lucifer’s end desire — that all men should live the God-like life — was commendable. But there was only one tragic means that could guarantee this course — force. Much as our Heavenly Father wanted His children to enjoy the blessings of His type of life, He would not force it upon them. So Lucifer’s plan was rejected by God because it violated the basic eternal principle of free agency, the right of men to freely choose the type of life they want to live.

And Lucifer rebelled and there was war in Heaven. One-third of the children of our Father in Heaven supported Lucifer and his program of forced righteousness. (Bible, Revelations 12:4, 7-8) The other two-thirds to a greater or lesser extent supported free agency as advocated by God and Jesus Christ.

Because of their rebellion, Lucifer, whom we also know as Satan or the Devil, and his followers were cast out of Heaven. (Bible, Luke 10:18) They were denied the blessing and advantages of receiving a mortal body. Since then Satan’s hosts have been enticing mortal men to also rebel against God. And men have a choice — and are choosing. (See Pearl of Great Price, Moses 4: 1-4, Abraham 3:24-28; and Doctrine and Covenants 29:36-39)

When Mormons fully appreciate the significance of the War in Heaven, they immediately realize the similarity between the forced righteousness program of Lucifer and the program of the collectivists — or government interventionists — whether they are welfare staters, Fabians, socialists, fascists, or communists.  For the essence of the collectivist philosophy is that the majority of the people are not intelligent enough to do voluntarily what the collectivists feel should be done. To remedy this, the collectivists (who feel they are the intelligent ones) seek for the power to force the rest of mankind to follow their so-called “enlightened” programs. And whether the ends of their human programs are intended to be good or bad — and they are often bad — the state planners must, like Lucifer, use the means of force to accomplish their ends. The collectivists do not like to hazard the possibility that if we had a choice we might reject what they, honestly or otherwise, claim is for our best welfare.

But even God, whose plan of happiness for mankind is the greatest program of all, does not compel compliance as does the collectivist. God lets men freely choose if they want to accept the plan of happiness, even though God knows that some of His children will freely choose the path that leads to misery and Hell.

Once one understands the great struggle over free agency that occurred in the War in Heaven, he has the key for understanding the greatest conflict of our age, which is now taking place. It is the struggle of free men against the all encompassing and supposedly all-wise state. This state needs compulsion to enforce its multitudinous but supposedly all-wise directives — and eventually ends up becoming a dictatorship.

Mormons among all people should be the most dedicated fighters for freedom. They should be able to see that the War in Heaven is continuing to be fought out here on earth for the bodies and souls of men. Can any Mormon be true to his faith and support the coercive programs or the promoters of government collectivism and interventionism or designs leading in that direction?”

Comment one:

“I’m a Mormon too, and Glenn Beck is a dose or fresh air for this hater of Collectivism. He understands exactly what is at stake and what “religious” posers like Jim Wallis have done to their congregations as covert Marxists who use Jesus Christs Message to cover for Communist and Socialistic Ideologies and principles.

I wrote this on my blog the other day regarding the controversy: http://naturalfamilyblog.wordpress.com/2010/03/16/glenn-beck-to-jim-wallis-the-hammer-is-coming/

Comment 2

“My mind set? I shared the truth. Collectivism is force, and as it was practiced under Stalin, Mao, and even Sadaam Hussein innocents were murdered, locked up, and property stolen all for the “Masses”.

The Mormon Welfare program is voluntary. No guns, no force, no compulsion beyond sunday meeting talks that encourage and educate about the Law of the Fast and the blessings that result with the paying of Fast Offerings/Tithing. If a family chooses not to pay they are not excommunicated, shunned, or even kept out of sunday services.

I am all about Freedom, and if you spent some time listening to Glenn, he is too. Wallis and religious leaders like him are the Poverty Pimps of our day who use religion as a cover to indoctrinate their congregations with Marxism.

The Book of Mormon is all about Freedom too.

And if you took some time to thoughtfully read it, you would realize that it contains the principles that will enable individuals, families, and nations to live Free. I would challenge you to make a thoughtful study of 2nd Nephi 2: 11 – http://scriptures.lds.org/en/2_ne/2 it is my favorite passage in the BOM that outlines the principles of Freedom.”

Comment 3

“WRONG!

I am a Mormon and the Law of Consecration is entered into willingly and with the full consent of those who choose to live it. Socialism is the government FORCING collectivism on the people at the point of a gun and with the threat of prison or worse if they don’t comply. Every country that has entered into a Socialistic/Communistic Framework at some point locks up those who refuse to participate.

For those Mormons who choose to enter into that covenant they are free to leave at any time, no financial penalties whatsoever. The same cannot be said of Collectivism.

To say that the teachings of our first Prophet were Socialistic is to show a complete misunderstanding of the Law.

Covenant relationships are NOT forced Communistic Living. If Joseph was alive today the vast majority of the Saints would literally throw theirs arms around him in thanks for what he restored to the earth. And when he was alive, he ran for President of the US, so he was a political candidate back then and the people loved him. The haters murdered him and many today completely misunderstand and misrepresent who he was and what he taught.”

Thoughts…

Allison, Jenny, and Michelle

Allison, Jenny, and Michelle

My two oldest daughters are at the age where they have many wonderful decisions to make regarding their future lives.

Over the weekend I had nice heart to heart chats with both Michelle (21) and Allison (18).  We talked about many different topics but as I chatted with Michelle about the current divorce rate of BYU students, which is unusually high, we talked about the various current events that are lining up to deprive young couples of the ability to make it financially and still welcome children into their homes.

Michelle, Jenny, and Allison

Michelle told me about some friends who had made the choice to birth at home for financial reasons.  This young couple chose to give birth alone in an apartment for married couples on campus.  The birth went well.  Conversely, she told me about a young couple that is planning a hospital birth, who are also in school, who have just applied for Medicare to pay for the babes birth and pre and post natal care.  $8,000 minimum of funding for this precious child, paid by the American Taxpayer.  (And if the babe is born by c-section, vaccine damaged, needs NICU care and/or Mama has psychiatric problems, that number could quickly explode exponentially)

As we talked about current realities around health care, preparing for the job market, and the choice to have children early in marriage or wait for financial stability before jumping into family life, one of the things that came to my mind was the Young Woman theme that is a part of the Program for teens age 12 to 18.  This wonderful program was the one I attended as a teen and with Allison graduating from High School in a few months, it is the program that both of our daughters have actively participated in since Michelle was 12 in 2000.

The theme of the program, which is said out loud every week by all of the young women is below:

“We are daughters of our Heavenly Father, who loves us, and we love Him.

We will “stand as witnesses of God at all times and in all things,
and in all places” (
Mosiah 18:9) as we strive to live
the Young Women values, which are:

Faith

Divine Nature

Individual Worth

Knowledge

Choice and Accountability

Good Works

Integrity and

Virtue.

We believe as we come to accept and act upon these values,
we will be prepared to strengthen home and family, make and keep sacred covenants, receive the ordinances of the temple, and enjoy the blessings of exaltation.”

Also associated with the Young Women program are a motto and logo.

The Young Women motto is “Stand for Truth and Righteousness.”

The Young Women logo is a torch surrounded by the Young Women motto. The torch represents the light of Christ, inviting all to “come unto Christ” (Moroni 10:32).

It invites all young women to hold up the light of Christ by keeping His commandments.

As I chatted with the girls about the financial bondage that comes with students loans and living on credit to “get the degree” as so many of their friends are doing, and the realities of the current bleak job market, I asked them if they truly wanted to be full time stay at home mothers.  I told them that perhaps the greatest gift they could offer to future husbands was simply a strong and healthy body, a willing heart, no credit card debt, and no students loans to pay off during the early years of their marriages.

As we discussed these important issues, I wondered about the message that is being sent to our young daughters, the future Mothers of the next generation.  Mormon culture is riddled with mixed messages on how best to live and provide for our families.  On the one hand young couples are encouraged to get an education, to be as educated as possible to compete in the worlds work force.  And the message that accompanies that directive is that the most ideal job situations are those that include full health and dental benefits.  “Honorable” work is often touted as being those jobs that will provide the health care “necessary” to have a family.

A mixed message in the assumption that the only way and means of being parents and providing well for our children to is be able to take our babes to the doctor when they are sick or when they are being born.

Sometimes I wonder if the mixed message sent to the young mormon girls tacked on to the list of desirable attributes outlined in the Young Woman theme could also include:

Faith

Divine Nature

Individual Worth

Knowledge

Choice and Accountability

Good Works

Integrity and

Virtue

Give Birth in the Hospital

Use Psychiatric Meds for Depression

Vaccinate your Children

Don’t ask Questions

Mormon culture is defined by Family Life and if that Family life is being damaged by the current economic realities around the health care boondoggle, I would challenge young couples, just as I challenged my young daughters this past weekend, to think out of the current societal box and consider that a healthy family can and even should be created without the bells and whistles of medical orthodoxy and practice as a vital portion of the family budget.

It is obvious that many young couples are in fact weaning away from medical birth and taking personal responsibility for the health and wellbeing of their families. Some young Mormon couples are also engaged in varying degrees of responsibility, but too many seem skittish to take on these important responsibilities until they have the job, the degree,  or the private health care that is constantly pushed by well meaning religious leaders and parents who have not considered that any other reality beyond what is socially acceptable exists.

Many couples are simply crushed by the economics of husband/wife indebtedness, student loans, credit card debt, and unrealistic financial expectations once they graduate from school.

For those couples who truly plan to welcome a large family into their home, these economic realities should be confronted head on, alternatives to current socially acceptable ways and means of birthing and healing children should be explored, and extended family in the form of grandparents and siblings should embrace the choices of these young couples as they wean from the current overpriced medical nightmare.

Parents should be asking questions, lots of questions, and if the pediatrician does not like the questions and threatens to dump them as patients, DUMP AWAY!

Some families who question the number of vaccines currently being offered to babes are finding themselves pounding the pavement looking for a supportive pediatrician.

I don’t know that my children and their spouses will choose to give birth alone at home, nor do I know that they will turn their backs on all toxic medicines and dental care.  The overwhelming pressure to use vaccines, antibiotics, toxic mercury amalgams in the teeth, and Allopathic Drugs and Surgery is such a huge part of American Culture, I am not sure if they will be able to pull away and keep their little ones free from all of the toxic “healing”.  But I would like them to know that if and when they choose to pull out of those systems of health care, a safe place will be waiting that is filled with empowering information, sound natural healing, and financial freedom.

It will be interesting to see how things develop.  Paul and I have made our choices regarding health care for our children, and they will also have to make similar choices for an in behalf of their little ones and then live with the consequences, whatever they may be.

It is my prayer that as my daughters become Mothers they will be wise in how they use the family dollars available for health care, and if and when they choose to learn the many skills of self reliant mothering, I would hope that they will be supported by family and friends and not beat up too badly by societal expectations and faulty traditions of all things medical all the time.
