WND: Obama’s prayer: ‘Don’t question my citizenship’

Raises issue of eligibility in speech at annual breakfast gathering

“The questions, however, over Obama’s “citizenship,” actually go to the core of the American republic. Multiple lawsuits have challenged that he is not qualified for the Oval Office under the Constitution’s requirement that U.S. presidents be a “natural born citizen.”

The plaintiffs – who run into the hundreds so far and who still have a number of cases pending at the appelllate level – have alleged that failing to meet that constitutional requirement means he actually is a usurper, with no actual authority to be president.

On a forum page at The Hill newspaper, one commenter wrote that the president has only himself to blame for the questions.

“Personally I am no birther … but I am curious as to why Obama continues to beat on this issue .. is it a political ploy by his handlers to continue to use this as a divisive issue? To try and embarrass a certain segment of the population? And if not, why doesn’t he just provide the certificate and end all the speculation for the conspirators once and for all? Obama has certainly been a little less than forthcoming on his grades, his Harvard review publications and many other accomplishments…”

The reference apparently was the first time the issue has been addressed by Obama, even though he did not provide any answers. His press secretary, Robert Gibbs, repeatedly has ridiculed questions related to the subject, and the White House itself has declined to respond to any of a multitude of questions submitted by WND over months on the issue.”

Update: Sarah Palins book

I’m on page 115 and this book is blowing my mind.  Sarah Palin has an amazing background.

A couple of highlights:

Sarahs contemplative prayer on page 83:

“Let me not become disconnected from you, Lord.

Like that red kite, let there be a connecting string between you and me, so that I can fly high and safe as You’ve created all people to do.

With that string I will go where You want me to go.

I’ll be what You want me to be.

Thank You for Your grace.”

I guess what has touched me the most is how much of a bookworm she is.  As I read of her childhood adventures with books, her parents close supervision of her television habits (My parents set up similar rules during my childhood, even going so far as to put a lock on the television that could only be opened with keys attached to the car keys – my brothers and I spent quality time trying to swipe those keys so we could sneak a few minutes of viewing before getting caught), her interest in current events at a tender age, especially politics, have really endeared her to me.  My love affair with books neve stops and  I wrote about political issues in my journal when I was eleven.

I suppose it was this sense of a kindred spirit as she campaigned last year that really touched me.  I gave birth to the first of my five children a few months before she had her oldest son.  And her absolute devotion to free markets, limited government, and making things easier for small business owners has been music to my ears as I have reviewed her story.  I am just at the point in the book where she is running for governor of Alaska and the grass roots campaigning, rejecting special interest money, and taking the time to meet with small town citizens instead of party lobbyists is so telling of where her heart is as a politician.

She is exactly what this country needs as a president, and I am planning to write and encourage her to run with every bit of passion possible these next few years.

This books is a fun read with a wonderful narrative and lots of details about Alaska and the Palin Family lifestyle.

I’ll write more about it later.

If you haven’t already, go buy it.  Purchasing her book is a political statement in the current American Ideological Climate.

Toronto Sun: One small needle, a world of trouble

Downstairs in the rehab wing of Markham Stouffville hospital, in a private room with a sunny window, lies Donna Hartlen, a young mother who is now partially paralyzed.

““Not a single doctor we’ve talked with will even remotely discuss that it’s the H1N1 shot,” marvels Hartlen. “They almost pretend they don’t hear you. They don’t want to alarm the public and they don’t want you to stir up trouble.”

So GBS patients like Hartlen and Gibson are on their own.

Right now, Quebec is the only province with a no-fault vaccine injury compensation program in place.

“It’s a horror story of how little Ontario will do to help patients that come down with this after the government promotes it so much,” complains her husband, Wayne Burke.

They have two little girls at home, just 4 and 2. He works full-time at Telus; she was a self-employed business systems analyst. With no family in Whitby, they flew in her parents from Nova Scotia, but the elderly couple can’t look after the kids indefinitely.

Meanwhile, Hartlen has been told it can take months – and up to a year – before she completely regains all movement. So how is the partially-paralyzed mom supposed to take care of two young children until then?”

CANADIAN SWINE FLU VACCINE REACTION REPORTING PAGE LOGS DEATHS, STROKES, PARALYSIS

“A Canadian website has received well over 100 reports of people who suffered severe adverse reactions to the swine flu jab, including deaths, after they set up a reaction reporting page.

The Toronto Sun on January 30th carried a story on the case of Donna Hartlen, a young mother who is now partially paralyzed, diagnosed with Guillain-Barre syndrome, after receiving the jab.

But Dee Nicholson says Donna Hartlen is just one case in many: she says that people took the jab without being properly informed of the risks and can sue on this basis.”
