Novak: Wilson did not forcefully object to naming of CIA wife in column.
After five million, two hundred, and seventy three thousand, and twenty five hundred, and seven stories on this so called scandal……can we finally, now, admit….it was a NON-event???

PS In my school girl enthusiasm, I used to think that every patriot who fought in the Revolutionary War was as convicted and gung ho as George Washington. I even believed that every soldier who died was happy to go, knowing that he had fought for the most important cause humanity had ever engaged in.
When as an adult I began to read Biographies of Washington which painted a much more clear picture of reality, I was absolutely gobsmacked at the level of corruption, betrayal (Sure we all heard of Benedict Arnold), infighting, petty squabbles, and reversals that defined the Revolutionary War of America.
Yet aren’t we glad they persevered?
I believe our Iraqi friends, when looking back two hundred years from now will have a similar sense of purpose and vision, understanding that the cause of Freedom is ALWAYS worth the fight, and yes, the deaths that accompany the fight.
Boulder High School Pledge of Allegiance Rally After Action Report
On thursday morning a group of seven Patriots gathered in front of the Boulder High School to recite the Pledge of Allegiance. (Dale Lanham of Colorado Gathering of Eagles took this picture)

A few days before, a small group of students had stormed out of class to recite an alternative Pledge that had Marxist overtones.
This thread at Free Republic contains all of the links that I could find on the web describing the controversy, and stories were published all over the media about the students new pledge.

This video covers the whole rally. I took video of our group saying the Pledge and then interviewed everyone who attended to learn why they carved out a few minutes from their day to attend the rally. At the end of the video is a clip from the Denver Fox Television stations interview of Gerald Mangus who organized the rally.
Finally a nice testimony about the Pledge of Allegiance from

Jesus Christ Savior of the World: Background information about the church

I took my camera out on thursday morning and snapped some pictures of fall leaves and roses. I think the roses look better late in the season than in early spring. The colors were so vibrant and beautiful.

The Mormon Tabernacle Choir: Where can I turn for Peace

Speaker seven: Thomas S. Monson
The Glorious gospel message of hope and love.
To understand the meaning of death, we must know the purpose of life.
John 14: 2-3
2) In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3) And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”
President Monson shared the story of a friend of his, who enlisted in the Navy when he was fifteen. His mother was a proud blue star mother, and then when he died four years later, she became a Gold Star Mother. He explained that she needed comfort to understand that her son would live again. She found that comfort in the comforting doctrines of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
This was an awesome story! Read the whole thing later this week on the Conference Web Page: Go Here.

I’m not going to live blog any more of the sessions, it is too distracting from the talks, and I want to just relax and enjoy them. Please go to the churchs web site if you would like to watch them on the site in a week or so when they are streamed.
