Cooking Adventures on a snowy day!

This morning it started to snow again and as of 2PM on a cloudy friday afternoon Jan. 5th 2007, we have about a foot of snow on the ground again. Since this is the children’s last day of vacation, school starts on monday, we are having a quiet day at home, doing laundry, and preparing and organizing for school. I did a large baking of bread this morning, and made a pot of beef noodle soup.
Here are some video clips of my cooking adventures~!

“All grain is ordained for the use of man and of beasts, to be the staff of life, not only for man but for the beasts of the field, and the fowls of heaven, and all wild animals that run or creep on the earth; And these hath God made for the use of man only in times of famine and excess of hunger.

All grain is good for the food of man; as also the fruit of the vine that which yieldeth fruit, whether in the ground or above the ground– Nevertheless, wheat for man, and corn for the ox, and oats for the horse, and rye for the fowls and for swine, and for all beasts of the field, and barley for all useful animals, and for mild drinks, as also other grain.”

Esthers Perfect and Precise Whole Wheat Bread: (Double Batch)
Put rack on lowest part of oven
In Kitchen aid mixer bowl:
4 1/2 C Cold Tap Water
1/2 C Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2/3 C Agave Nectar
2 TBS Sea Salt
10 tsp Yeast
Grind 10 C Hard Red Winter Wheat (11% Protein Content works best) in an electric grain mill
Grind 1 Cup Whole Flax Seeds (I used a mix of brown and golden flax seeds for this recipe)
1. Turn Mixer on #1 dial (Set timer for 20 minutes for mixing dough)
Start adding Wheat Flour 1 C at a time until the sides of the bowl are clean. The last cup of flour you may not need. I used about 15 cups of flour for this recipe.
2. Spray counter, knead ball of dough five times
Spray bowl – put in ball, spray plastic wrap and put over dough.
3. Turn on Oven to 170 degrees, put timer on just one min – turn off oven.
4. Put bowl in oven on lowest rack, let rise 20 minutes
5. Take out and knead dough five times.
6. Second rising: Put dough in bowl, cover with plastic wrap, back in oven for 30 more minutes
7. Knead 5 times, cut in half, roll to size of pans with your hands. Put dough in loaf pans, and cover with same plastic wrap. Put pans in lower rack in over, rise 50-65 minutes – try to let it rise 2 ½ to 3 inches above the rim of the pan.
8. Take loaf out of over, remove wrap. Preheat ove to 375. Cook at least 20 minutes or until the center of the loaf is 170 degrees. Use a baking thermometer to test the temp.
All of these steps will give you the absolute best whole wheat bread you have ever eaten!

Hugh Hewitt: Steyn, Owens, Romney and Me

Steyn, Owens, Romney and Me

“There’s a long way to go until Iowa, but as 2007 opens, the momentum remains where it was throughout 2006, with Mitt Romney. Mayor Giuliani could indeed make it a race, and Senator McCain might still turn it around with some “straight talk” with conservatives, not Chris Matthews.

Let me repeat: This isn’t an endorsement, just an analysis. Announcements like Owens’ matter and takes like Steyn’s do as well.”

Liver Cleansing

Please listen to the Utube videos before reading the text in this post to get the background info. If you don’t have a computer that allows you to watch video, basically I just shared some background information on liver cleansing.
I was taught about the cleanse ten years ago from a one page flyer from my Chiropractor. The recipe taught me that it was ideal to drink lots of apple juice in the days before a flush, to help soften the stones. Then the simple recipe, which is included on this web site as the original Hulda Clark Cleanse was the one I did with Grapefruit and Olive Oil.
For some reason, with this cleanse I did not pass any stones. I did however, do lots of cleansing through my skin, which some healers have called the “second kidneys”. I felt everything open up in my digestive tract during the week of the cleanse and the toxins just poured out through my skin. Here are some pictures of the rashes on my feet and legs:

Here is a picture of a cleanse I did back in 2001. I took a picture of some of the bigger stones next to a six inch ruler.

And here is the rash I broke out in, on my face and hands.
Gall%20Stones%20passed%20in%20the%20summer%20of%202005.jpg
Here are some gall stones I passed during a cleanse in the summer of 2005. These smaller stones, the size of a small pea, were typical of the various stones I have passed through the years.
For the skeptic of the claim that those of us who have chemical allergies have thousands of these stones in our livers, I refer to the Guinness book of world records: Which has an array of stories about gall stones and trivia of interest to the person interested in cleansing these stones out of the body.
I have passed upwards of 3,000 stones, most of which were small, but the largest of which was the size of a golf ball and looked like a tumor. Passing that particular stone just about killed me, and it felt like giving birth to a very large baby when it passed through my ducts. But that was the only big one, and the rest have been more manageable.
I am confident that without taking the time or energy to work on this problem in my body, I would not have my gall bladder today, and would still be suffering from poor digestion.
Because passing a gall stone can be a life or death matter for a pregnant woman, I feel that sharing this information with women in their child bearing years is of particular importance. I also believe that taking the time to properly cleanse the body pays off in a variety of ways, and am committed to cleansing my own body for the rest of my life.
As I said in one of the video clips, my body lets me know when it is time to clean house. Usually my asthma starts acting up, and then I will eat a large meal and it just feels stuck in my system. These sorts of physical complaints let me know it will be wise to clean out.
Also I sometimes have emotional distress that pops up about the same time, and have often observed that old traumas seem to want to be addressed and remembered, and then forgotten when the cleansing takes place. It almost feels like the physical debris contains real memory from past hurts. I find myself weeping as the memories pop into my mind, and then it all leaves my body, physical junk combined with the awful memory, and I feel free and released from the pain of whatever the trauma was.
It is a really empowering experience, and I would highly recomend spending some quality time on the Cure Zone web site, and then putting into practice some of the cleansing in your own day to day life.
It struck me as I did this cleanse on New Years Eve that as most of the people get drunk and do some serious damage to their livers, here I was in my bedroom drinking my herbs, oils, and juice to clean out my liver and make it more whole.
I suppose that is the price to be paid for seeking and living the healthy life.
After a cleanse I notice that my mind is very clear, I have more energy, am able to eat animal foods with less congestion, and I seem to enjoy the beauties of nature to a much higher degree.
A healthy liver is the key to a healthy pregnancy. Here is an article I wrote that became part of my book Elijah Birth.
The only tip I will share in this entry is that I noticed during the first twenty or so cleanses that although I felt an overall sense of wellbeing and purpose in cleansing my liver, for a time, and I mean for several years, I was worse in regards to allergies, asthma, and chemical sensitivities. It almost felt like by stirring up my liver and gall bladder, my blood stream was taxed and somewhat overwhelmed, sort of like when you clean out your closet, and for a time the overwhelm of the dust and clutter makes you want to just give up and throw it all back in unorganized.
But I can promise that if you persist in cleansing the “inner vessel” of your internal organs (And I have done dozens and dozens of colon cleanses, parasite cleanses, kidney cleanses, gall bladder and liver cleanses, and have even used herbs to cleanse my brain) the result will be a whole body that is able to give birth to huge healthy babies, with an abundant milk supply and the ability to eat the foods needful to make all of it happen.
This is my testimony and my witness.

Michelle Malkin is going to Iraq!

Malkin to embed as a reporter:
Goals:

1) to report on how the troops perceive mainstream media coverage of the war (with a particular focus on the wire services relying on local stringers); and

2) to report on progress and interaction between U.S. troops and Iraqi Army trainees.

The “Jamil Hussein” story is one important item on our agenda, but not the only one. As Curt and other bloggers on this story have noted from the beginning, Jamilgate isn’t just about “Jamil Hussein.” Bryan and I plan to do as much on-the-ground reporting as we can to nail down unresolved questions–not only about Jamil Hussein and the Hurriya six burning Sunnis allegations, but also about the AP four burning mosque story discrepancies and the many other AP sources that our military has publicly challenged–including “Lt. Maitham Abdul Razzaq” and more than a dozen police officers listed by U.S. military spokesman Navy Lt. Michael Dean. There’s also the issue of detained AP photographer Bilal Hussein. And we are looking forward to reporting first-hand on the security situation in Iraq outside the so-called “Green Zone” (International Zone) and talking to as many American and Iraqi Army troops with insights on these and other broader matters.

Should be fun to read her posts!
