“We, the People of these United States, rightfully petition our national government to prosecute John Kerry for “giving aid and comfort to the enemy” and to disqualify him for national office.”

Phyllis Schlafly Report

Supremicist judges out of control…
“Each year the Supreme Court grants fewer and fewer petitions for “cert,” or review. Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg just told Mike Wallace on CBS’s “60 Minutes” that “The Court receives over 8,000 applications for review each year. And from that large group we select less than 100.” That means the chance of getting the Supreme Court to hear a particular case is about one percent, and that in turn means that most lower federal court decisions are final. The High Court hears only about half the number of cases it heard 25 years ago.
Because lower-court federal judges know how unlikely it is for the Supreme Court to reverse them, they have become increasingly aggressive in handing down supremacist decisions that are biased against parents’ rights and against religion, and in favor of feminist and gay-rights agendas. Parents’ rights cases are seldom accepted by the Supreme Court. This year, rather than hear a single case about parents’ rights to control the upbringing of their own children, the Supreme Court heard appeals from Osama bin Laden’s bodyguard and from prisoners demanding their right to read pornographic magazines.”

The modern world killed off the nap

Killed off?
Not at my house. We have quiet time every day from 1 PM to 3PM and anyone who is in the house is required to nap or read quietly.
It might surprise you to know that the scriptures contain good advice on sleep:
Doctrine and Covenants 88:124
The author of the above article spoke much of Evolution in his article. How much more satisfying to know that our Heavenly Father promised us vigor if we sleep well – go to be early and arise early that “our bodies AND OUR MINDS might be invigorated”.
Now this is not the Saviors pattern. The scriptures also teach us that he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
Also much mention of sleep in the scriptures overall. Go here and Here

Obsession

Here is a link to the twelve minute version of Obsession.
I watched it last night and it was a sobering reminder of how long the War on Terror is going to last.

Jesus was no Ordinary Man

No Ordinary Man is one of my favorites written by Janice Kapp Perry
This version, recorded at home, was interupted by Jeff receiving a phone call. I had asked the children to let me alone for two minutes while we recorded, but Allison was not upstairs when I talked to the boys. I made it through the second verse without any major distractions, and at our house, that is a miracle.
While not the perfect rendition of this song, I hope the message it contains touches your heart as you listen. Clip two follows right after this first one.
I plan to share video clips of some of my favorite music in the coming months to add variety and spice to the natural family blog!
My all time favorite music is anything that is written about Jesus Christ. So these first two songs, Jesus was no ordinary man and Come Thou Fount, will kick off this new part of the blog.

Some of you who have never lived with a young child may wonder why Ben is always undressed in these video clips. I get him dressed on average five times a day, and usually within minutes he is in varying stages of undress. I find clothes all over the house, once I found a pair of pants in the fridge. (grab an apple, shove your pants in the fruit bin) Sometimes it is just a shirt, or a pair of shorts that he has on, or one left sock. He is pretty good about keeping his underpants on, but as a free spirit, clothing to him is completely optional when he is running around the house.
