NYT: Will This Election Be the Mormon Breakthrough?
In this article Bloom dumps on the Latter Day Saints as well as the Tea Party, so for me it was a double whammy…
“Rather than living in reality they yield to what oddly are termed “cultural” considerations: moral and spiritual, or so their leaders urge them to believe. Under the banners of flag, cross, fetus, exclusive marriage between men and women, they march onward to their own deepening impoverishment. Much of the Tea Party fervor merely repeats this gladsome frolic.”
The article was such a mish mash of incoherent blatherings that it was difficult to recognize what point Professor Bloom was trying to make. Professors of his stature often forget that Humanism is in fact a religion. A religion as easily defined and practiced as my Mormon Faith.
His Point seemed to be:
Tea Partying Mormons influencing the electorate with their morals = BAAAADDDD
Secular Humanistically Inclined Yale Professors of English dumping on those of us who teach our families eternal truths = GOOOOOODDD (Bloom fails to question if his lifes work and decades of indoctrinating the nations youth in relativistic nothingness has led to students pooping on cop cars as a form of “speech”)
Bloom finished up his piece with this little nugget of insight:
“Mormonism’s best inheritance from Joseph Smith was his passion for education, hardly evident in the anti-intellectual and semi-literate Southern Baptist Convention. I wonder though which is more dangerous, a knowledge-hungry religious zealotry or a proudly stupid one? Either way we are condemned to remain a plutocracy and oligarchy. I can be forgiven for dreading a further strengthening of theocracy in that powerful brew.”
One has to wonder if the current nightmare of Marxist Moonbattery that has taken over the White House, which is the intellectual bastardized political child that Bloom and his cohorts in Academia have been gestating in the halls of ivy on American Students since the late 1800’s, is preferable to a little bit of Mormon Pioneer Zealotry, horse sense, and practical economic philosophy, often simplified in this couplet: Use it Up, Wear it Out, Make it Do, or Do Without!
Society should have one simple test for those who would presume to teach the nations youth, and run for Political office:
Start your own business and run it successfully with no outside help from anyone and show a profit after a couple of years, and you can have the honor of attempting to teach young people in a University setting. If we were to set up that standard of “purity” for our society, we could fix this thing in a generation…
Michele Bachmann
Michele Bachmann dropped out of the race for the Presidency. She gave a great speech yesterday and outlined the reasons why she ran.
I endorsed her early and loudly in every sphere of influence I have, and am grateful she took the time, energy, and spent the money to run.
She put the words Crony Capitalism into the political debate, and that is something that has needed to be done for decades in America.

PS I will not be endorsing anyone else, I left the Colorado Republican party this past year and will not be participating in our caucus. As an Independent who leans Constitution party, I will decide right before the election who to vote for at the state and national level.
Since the Gardasil conversation is one that for me goes back to before the Vaccine was even put on the market and I have some skin in the game in the form of serious blowback on me and my family for speaking out against the mass vaccination of the worlds preteens, it was pure JOY to watch this debate be thrust more fully into the spotlight because of the courage of one female candidate for President.
Most people cannot comprehend an evil so complete that it would presume to deprive future Mothers of the ability to create a healthy child because side effects from vaccines are so devastating that they murder, maim, and make impossible for a woman to get pregnant in the first place.
Yet since the 70′s the wicked in our world, some tied to the Howard Hughes Medical Institute have been hell bent on finding the ways and means to sterilize both animals and humans without surgery. President Obamas Science Czar John Holdren wrote about the need for a vaccination that would sterilize women in his book Ecoscience.
Citizens of good will cannot even fathom that these Eugenics Purists would quietly go about the business of making it happen, yet they have, and many of us who have been screaming about it on the internet have felt the repercussions from standing in the way and trying to disrupt the “Genocide by Injection” currently taking place around the world. Many of the articles, posts, and conversations that are a part of this edition of the Magazine are tied to this reality.
I also had the great joy of interviewing Barbara Hartwell and Jonathan Elinoff on my radio show the week of the ten year anniversary of 9-11. These outspoken and hard working activists have a far different take on the events of September 11th than the average American, and I felt it was important to give them some time to explain the reasoning behind their views.

HOME BIRTH, STORY, QUOTE, AND A MOVIE…My friend Becky had an eight pound boy at home last night. She asked me to be available to help with her three older children if she gave birth during the day. But since she gave birth at 2 am, I was not able to attend. While I would have loved to be around just to feel the energy and spirit of a homebirth, it felt right that this most sacred and gentle of moments take place quietly, without too many extra people hanging around. And so this morning as she proudly shared pictures of Her son on Facebook, I felt joy and peace that another blessed child had made it safely to the earth into his parents hands.

I was a vaccine damaged child and feel that my life was altered because of a bad reaction to my inoculations. I have struggled with lifelong DEADLY chemical and food sensitivities. With more runs to the ER than anyone in the family, I have been one big histamine storm after another since I was two. HEALTH AND WELL BEING OF BABY? OR EXPERIENCE? THEY ARE NOT MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE…This is perhaps the most insulting claim against home birthing Mothers, that we are somehow putting the “experience” of childbirth over the health and well being of our children.
It is a tired and pathetic claim and at the risk of insulting just about anyone who has chosen to have an epidural, does ANYONE at all believe that a Mother who requests every possible pain relieving drug an OB can offer is thinking about what is best for her child while she gives birth?
The poo can be flung both ways… here is a video backing up the assertion that Mothers looking for a tranformative experience are indeed thinking about what is best for baby.
AD: RAINDROP TECHNIQUE – MY FAVORITE ESSENTIAL OILS APPLICATIONInstead he stayed home and bathed several times and I applied all of the oils in the Raindrop Technique Kit from Young Living. By Monday night he was feeling much better and yesterday went back to his busy, activity packed life.
I have observed my children over the years push and push and push with this intense high school Mormon Teen Schedule. I believe it is completely appropriate for them to occasionally take a day to rest and re-hydrate to prevent more serious illness. I let them decide when this needs to happen and never push them to do more than they feel they can accomplish.
A “LOVELY” CHAT WITH SOME FOLKS OVER AT FREE THOUGHTS BLOGI was so pleased with the efforts of Michelle Bachmann during the latest debate and her interviews with the press around the whole Gardasil issue that I wrote up a couple of comments sharing a few links and blasted around the web looking for news sights and blogs where I could post without being a member.
The people at Free Thoughts blog took issue with my comment and we shared a nice, thoughtful friendly chat in the comment section.

GARDASIL – IF A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS, THEN A VIDEO REPORT, OR TWO, OR THREE, OR SEVEN……MUST be worth an indictment, Right? Somebody going to jail? Or at least being arrested and tried for crimes against Humanity? Or at least the deaths of these People?
Somebody needs to be held accountable…Rick Perry might know who those somebodies are.
PS Why is it that these people ALWAYS get a pass and nobody ever goes to Prison for these murders? They pay off the families with blood money and gag them up after the settlement and life goes on…
