WND: Massive DC Protest – Tom Petri Video Interview

Rep. Tom Petri, R-Wis., said he has no question the massive rally was a worthwhile undertaking.

“The concern, patriotism and focus of the people who are here is sure to have an impact,” he said. “It may not overnight, but it’s definitely making a difference.”

Best quote from the article at World Net Daily:

Missy Smith, president of Women Against the Killing and Exploitation of Unprotected Persons, or WAKE UP, told WND she is leading a sit-in protest outside Pelosi’s Washington office.

“We’re protesting because the bill would provide taxpayer funding of child-killing,” she said. “We will crumple the massive bill one page at a time and leave it tattered on the floor. We are deeply troubled that Nancy Pelosi wants to fund the murder of innocent babies under the guise of health care. She’s a Catholic, and she should know better.”

As a mother who has counseled many others through the injuries and haunting sorrow of abortion, Smith said she’s ready to be arrested if that’s what it takes to stop this legislation fraught with danger to women, babies, the disabled and the elderly.

Hot Air: Ed Morrissey – Lessons from Election Night

The mystique is gone

The mystique is gone

Republicans had their best night in five years yesterday, winning two governorships in states that went big for Barack Obama last year. They came closer than some would have guessed in holding a California district while running a no-name against the state’s Lieutenant Governor. And while the local GOP botched a district in New York just as bad as they possibly could, the news from NY-23 is actually not bad at all.
…That is a huge blow to Obama and his agenda, as Democrats now have to consider unpopular bills for ObamaCare and cap-and-trade in an entirely new light. If they fall in behind Obama instead of listening to their constituents, they will find themselves in retirement after the 2010 midterms. That’s the big lesson, and it will not be lost on moderate Democrats.

Glenn Beck says a 3rd party candidate will win in 2012 if…

I know Republicans are all up in arms about a third party split and a repeat of 92 when Ross Perot split the conservative vote. But you know what? It’s time. I’ll vote for Sarah Palin/Alan Keyes as Independents, Constitutionalists, Libertarians, and/or a new political party. I think we should call the new Freedom party the TEAparty!
