A central figure behind the Center for Disease Control’s (CDC) claims disputing the link between vaccines and autism and other neurological disorders has disappeared after officials discovered massive fraud involving the theft of millions in taxpayer dollars.

…The discovery of Thorsen’s fraud came as the result of an investigation by Aarhus University and CDC which discovered that Thorsen had falsified documents and, in violation of university rules, was accepting salaries from both the Danish university and Emory University in Atlanta — near CDC headquarters — where he led research efforts to defend the role of vaccines in causing autism and other brain disorders. Thorsen’s center has received $14.6 million from CDC since 2002.

Thorsen’s partner Kreesten Madsen recently came under fierce criticism after damning e-mails surfaced showing Madsen in cahoots with CDC officials intent on fraudulently cherry picking facts to prove vaccine safety.

Leading independent scientists have accused CDC of concealing the clear link between the dramatic increases in mercury-laced child vaccinations beginning in 1989 and the epidemic of autism, neurological disorders and other illnesses affecting every generation of American children since. Questions about Thorsens’s scientific integrity may finally force CDC to rethink the vaccine protocols since most of the other key pro vaccine studies cited by CDC rely on the findings of Thorsen’s research group. These include oft referenced research articles published by the Journal of the American Medical Association, the American Journal of Preventive Medicine, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the New England Journal of Medicine and others. The validity of all these studies is now in question.

The tooth fairy at our house has not always done due diligence with our children and several times through the years various seven year olds have woken up to no money and teeth still under the pillow. Tears were always a part of these sad morns at the Hatch House.

With Andrew and Ben she has tried to be more diligent in making certain to swipe the teeth and leave the money, but alas, some days it just did not happen. When Andrew was seven, one day in an overwhelm of guilt she gave him twenty bucks for a random tooth to make up for the other three she had forgotten.

These types of events in family life become legend, and were not a problem as Andy was the youngest for so long. But Ben had heard the story and for his last two teeth asked if I thought the tooth fairy would give him twenty bucks for his first little baby teeth. Both times before the Fairy was broke and so she only left him a dollar or two. But last night she actually remembered to grab the tooth and happened to have twenty bucks on hand. So she paid him for the tooth.

This morning I asked Ben if he was planning to pay tithing on the money and he said, “no way, it’s mine.” He’s planning to buy nerf gun number six and a huge pack of bullets with the cash. He’s been saving up for that gun for a long time, had 53 cents in his bank, and now will have enough to get the gun.

I guess we are going to have to have Family Home Evening Lesson number 17 on why we are blessed to pay ten percent of our income in Tithing to Heavenly Father.

Huff Po: ‘Under God’ In Pledge Of Allegiance Upheld By Court

Great News!

“SAN FRANCISCO — A federal appeals court upheld the use of the words “under God” in the Pledge of Allegiance and “In God We Trust” on U.S. currency, rejecting arguments Thursday that the phrases violate the separation of church and state.

Some teens here in Boulder tried to change the wording of the Pledge a few years ago. A friend of mine organized a protest and we made a little noise in support of the Pledge.

(I know a socialist minister originally wrote it, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t an important part of life in America. Socialism back in 1892 was mostly theoretical and defined by “feel goodism” and was being promoted by those who had not yet witnessed the modern socialist state and how it played out during the twentieth century experiment.)

The Boulder High students who wrote the Marxist version of the Pledge stormed out of class one day in protest to the American Pledge of Allegiance. When my friend Gerald Mangus heard about it he organized a protest and Fox 31 in Denver claimed they were going to cover it. They never showed up. But I took my camera and made a little movie of the seven of us who showed up at nine am on a school day.

I am friends with a girl at Boulder High who told me later that hundreds of students had heard about our rally and wanted to come outside and stand with the Freedom Lovers and say the real pledge. But the principal made the students all stay inside for the pledge. I guess he didn’t want the spectacle of Patriotic Students demonstrating in front of the most liberal high school in Colorado standing up for Liberty. Those of us who did show up wanted to prove that Conservatives do exist in Boulder County!

Matt, the student featured in my movie above just happened to see us out in front as he arrived late to school and joined our demonstration. I am so glad he was the one to stand with us to defend our Constitutional Republic.
