They LIED! And bragged about it, and now the fruits of the Clinton Administrations ingnorance and naivety have just exploded in North Korea.

UPDATE: Monday Morning
President Bush is speaking as I type. Short and sweet, he just finished. “North Korea is exporting bombs to Iran and Syria”, people of North Korea deserve more…” etc etc
I just arrived home from taking my boys to school. Was listening to AM radio as I drove. It was almost farsical. 850 KOA – Conservative Mike Rosen talking about Appeasement of the 90’s leading to this probem in North Korea. Then I flipped to an uber conservative/libertarian site The American Freedom Network – 1360, and they had a guy on talking about preparedness, survival, guns, and being prepared to shoot neighbors if they come to take your food.
Then I flipped to Air America, and Local Boulder Host Jay Marvin introduced his show with a short musical clip of the Rolling Stones, and he was talking to my fellow Boulderites about legalizing Pot.
I started to chuckle thinking of the irony of these responses to todays North Korean threat.
Conservative = realistic analysis of the threat, with a focus on hawkish behavior being the appropriate response.
Far Right Libertarian = Store Food, Water, Guns…head for the hills
Liberal = Let’s get STONED!
I’m somewhere comfortably settled between Conservative and Libertarian. We have a storage of food and water, and we do own a shotgun. But to say I am going to start killing my hungry neighbors if they come asking for some food is a little over the top. We’ll share until it is all gone, and then pray for Manna from Heaven.
As for our liberal friends, if getting stoned is the best that the liberals have to offer to the current political scene, I say let’s legalize pot and give it to them for free. Then maybe these adolescent yuk yuks will shut up while the adults in our world do the work of dismantling Communism and disarming Dictators.
