Rutter Gloria English Translation

I sing as a soloist with the Colorado Repertory Singers.  This year we are performing John Rutters Gloria during our Christmas Concert.  Last thursday at our rehearsal the director asked me to sing the high soprano solo during the second movement.  I am so excited to perform it!  My voice teacher gave me a great lesson on saturday just to prepare for this solo!

I created the above PDF of the Latin to English translation just to remind myself of the meaning of the words we will sing.

Here is the cambridge singers  version of the second movement.  The soprano solo comes in at 4:48.  This is my all time favorite piece of music on the Earth!  I was priviledged to sing it in 1999 with the Colorado Mormon Chorale accompanied by the Boulder Brass!  Enjoy!
