Reid apologizes for ‘no Negro dialect’ comment

 

“Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada described in private then-Sen. Barack Obama as “light skinned” and “with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one.” Obama is the nation’s first African-American president.”

 

Assumption being that if Obama used a Negro dialect all the time, whatever that is, then he would not be able to serve as president.  No JIVE TALKIN’ allowed, according to Harry Reid.
