I’m really enjoying Jennifers blog since the birth of her fourth baby.

She has reminded me of so many issues and real feelings with her insightful commentary.  My second  baby was also my “high needs” infant who pulled every bit and particle of energy out of me as a mother.  Allison nursed every twenty minutes as a newborn and was so intense in her demands of me.  This continued on until she was six and then she gradually shifted to a very independent eight year old.

Seeing the love that Jennifer has for her daughter now is evidence that for some babes, mother love comes gradually, as we struggle through some difficult experiences.
