#JennyHatch – Preach my Gospel, our new calling at church: Ward Missionaries

Paul and I were called to be Ward Missionaries last week.

We are so excited about this six month mission at church.

I purchased the Preach my Gospel Missionary Manual for all of my children when it was first published a few years ago, but have never really made a study of the book til now.

This past week Paul and I drove down to the Denver Temple to attend a Session at the temple and we listened to the audio of Preach my Gospel on our Mp3 Player.  We had been asked to prepare for todays meeting by studying the first chapter in the manual.

The whole book is available to read here on the Churchs web site.

Here is the PDF of the text from Chapter One  Click

Paul and I plan to use this book for our Family Home Evening lessons with the boys over the next few months.  Our oldest son Jeff is preparing to serve a Mission for the church and although he has been studying the book on his own, we thought it would be great to study it together as Paul and I attempt to master the various principles and lessons to teach to those interested in joining the church in our location.  We are planning to serve a mission some day as a couple, so this will be great preparation for that time.

When I was blessed last week as the Bishop set me apart for this new calling I felt a sobering reality weigh down on my mind that I need to be a better example of Christ Like Living and behavior, not only for my own family but for those I come in contact with in my day to day life and also on the internet.  My new resolution is to stop swearing and trash talking, (even about politicians) and using sarcasm and in your face debate tactics when I am engaging with others on the web. This does not mean that I will stop blogging about politics and fraud, rather I will find that “well modulated tone” that so many of my brothers and sisters in Christ have mastered when interacting with friend and foe alike.

I cannot think of anything I would rather do in the church that serve as a Missionary.  If any of you are interested in learning more about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, please contact me here: Jenny@NaturalFamilyCo.com to learn more!

FREEDOM VS. TYRANNY – IS THE OCCUPY WALL STREET MOVEMENT JUST ANOTHER LEFTY FAKEOUT?

This Post is dedicated to my friend Ruth Mangus who died this past week.

(Ruth is in the purple t shirt in front of the gate at the Denver Capitol and I am standing on the UN flag counter demonstrating at an Anti War Rally in September of 2005)

Here is my AAR from this event at Free Republic

GRASSHOPPERS AND ANTS: OCCUPY WALL STREET AS COMPARED TO THE TEA PARTY, WRITTEN BY TEA PARTY ORGANIZER JENNY HATCH

Denver Colorado Tea Party Organizer Jenny Hatch usesthe old fable the Ant and the Grasshopper to describe the difference between the Occupy Wall Street movement and the Tea Party.

Peter Tells The Story Of “The Ant And The Grasshopper” (This little clip of Denver Radio Personality Peter Boyles modern “PROGRESSIVE” version of the Ant and the Grasshopper sets the stage for this Blog Post)

I have spent many hours these past few weeks watching videos and reading online reports about the Occupy Wall Street Activities that are ongoing around the world.

WANTED FOR GENOCIDE

“About twenty years ago my husband and I conducted enough research on Vaccines that we made the decision not to vaccinate our five children for anything.  We trained to become Childbirth Educators and the little bits of information gleaned from the various books, articles, and research papers we studied were enough to convince us that the whole field of Vaccination was Hookum, and would prove toxic and deadly to our childrens brains and bodies.

Fast forward to 2009 and after years of Childbirth and Family Activism, and many hours of reading on the whole pandemic scam, I finally was able to put all of the various world government goals together like a huge puzzle, with the vaccines being the final piece of the whole big pathetic picture.”

MY MOST HUMBLE AND SINCERE APOLOGY TO DR. AMY TUTEUR MD

Yesterday Dr. Amy of the Homebirth Debate blog wrote that I made up a lie a

She wrote:bout her that is making the rounds on Motherings Discussion Boards.

“it came out a few months ago that “Dr Amy” is on the payroll of ACOG (That’s a lie made up by Jenny Hatch. Of course, if anyone would like to pay me to write what I am going to write anyway, I’d be happy to accept it. Maybe someone can call ACOG and tell them I deserve to be paid.)”

I am very sorry Dr. Amy that my public suspicion of you is gathering steam and people are throwing around the idea that you are a paid shill for ACOG.

When we were debating at Salon last spring, I honestly could not believe that anyone will half a brain could believe the things that you write.
And it was in a letter I wrote to Salon that I first began to explore the idea publicly that you are a paid harpie.

Family Updates

We had several family events all jumble together at the same time last week.
Ben received his wolf badge at Pack Meeting last week, I was his Den Leader and then Cub Master since he began in scouts and it has been fun to be such a huge part of things as he progressed.  I was released from my Cub Calling last month and am excited to see what my next calling will be at church.

Jeff played his final Soccer Game of the season.  He was backup goalie on his charter school team and they had a good season.

He is so busy with chamber choir, speech and debate, and being active in his priests quorum at church, I am not quite sure how he fit a varsity sport into his schedule, but he managed to do it all these past two months and we were so pleased with his hard work.

As a senior he will not be playing any more soccer at the school and it has been really fun to be a part of the team these past few years.

Andy played on the JV team all season and experienced a ton of growth and development in this sport.

Ben turned nine and had a fun party at a local park…and we were able to enjoy a wonderful reunion with friends who we have not been able to socialize with for many months.  It has been a great week.  Jenny Hatch

Liam Halligan: Why the latest eurozone bail-out is destined to fail within weeks

I want last week’s European bail-out to work. My sincere hope is that collective and decisive action by the eurozone’s large member states will stabilize global markets, at least for a while, so allowing the global economy to catch its breath.

As someone who works in financial services, I follow the markets – in the West, across Asia and the entire world – closer than most. Since the Bear Stearns collapse in March 2008, through the demise of Lehman Brothers and its ghastly aftermath, much of my professional life has been dominated by the angry flashing of those little lights on a Bloomberg screen.

In recent years, the violent gyrations on financial markets have been deeply discomforting, causing angst among market professionals, like me – but that is the least significant aspect. For those little lights represent, of course, the ebbs and flows of cash which, in turn, determines the fate of real businesses. It is at the sharp end of employment and livelihoods, dispossessed homes and broken families that the human impact of financial turbulence is most keenly felt….

…The eurocrats, of course, lack the guts to trim back monetary union to a more manageable size. Too much face would be lost. So “euroquake” fears, once viewed as outlandish, are gaining pace. Despite Thursday’s deal, and all the reassurances of a “durable solution”, the Italian government on Friday paid 6.06pc for 10-year money, up from just 5.86pc a month ago and a euro-era high. Such borrowing costs are disastrous, given that Rome must roll-over €300bn of its €1,900bn debt in 2012 alone. A default by Italy, the eurozone’s third-biggest economy, and the eighth-largest on earth, would make Lehman look like a picnic.

The eurozone must be consolidated. World leaders should similarly force European banks to disclose their losses, we all take the hit and then we move on. Instead, we are served-up, in ever more complex variants, the same “extend and pretend” non-solutions. It gives me no pleasure to write this, but I give this deal two weeks.

This was my comment on Liams article:

It is nice to know someone in Europe does not have his head comfortably tucked up his ass.

Jenny Hatch

PS When I watched the news on friday night I said to myself, “Three Days”. I think two weeks is just a little optimistic, don’t you?

Tuesday UPDATE in America – Hate to say “I told you so”, but Greece is wobbling… and it has been three days, hope everyone has a four month food supply and a few guns for family protection.
