Palin in Colorado yesterday!

One of my Freeper friends asked if I wanted to go to the Sarah Palin Rally in Golden colorado yesterday to Freep the Woman against Palin fems who were going to demonstrate against her. I told him I was too busy with my mommy duties, but was thrilled to see this pictoral of the rally at Free Republic this morning!
Here are a couple of the pictures from the thread:

Funny Story:
I don’t usually read our local paper The Daily Camera (the daily comrade) because it is so notoriously leftist. But yesterday I was waiting at the bus stop and decided to waste my fifty cents and buy a copy. I like to listen to leftist talk radio, read democratic web sites, and occasionally read the liberal papers when it is election time simply because I like to see what they are saying about everything.
Anyway, I noticed this story highlighted on PAGE ONE of our local paper:

“Sunday, like-minded women gathered at Wolf’s north Boulder home to make protest signs.

“Palin doesn’t speak for us,” said Madeline Cohen. “I don’t think she understands the real pressures facing working families. She’s out of touch. She would take us back to the ’50s.”

She also said Palin, the governor of Alaska, doesn’t enough experience to take over in the event of Republican presidential candidate John McCain’s death.

Karin Susskind, who was a Hillary Clinton supporter, added that Palin isn’t a Hillary substitute.

“They’re diametrically opposed,” she said.

She’s unhappy with Palin’s stance on affordable health care and her energy plan. For the sake of her 10-month-old son, she said, the country needs leaders who can create “a sustainable future.”

I would like to know which country in our worlds history was able to maintain a “sustainable” future using collectivism as the political ideology. So funny and pathetic.
Anyway, I read that article claiming that a hundred women were going to attend the rally to counter palin, and as stated above was asked to attend to counter them with some Freeper friends.
Then I noticed this article today on the Daily Comrade Web Site:
Palin draws crowd of 6,000
The local newspapers have a notoriously bad history of counting crowds. So we can safely say at least 6,000 conservatives attended the Palin rally….
By paragraph six of the article anti Palin Hecklers in the crowd were mentioned…and paragraphs 7,8, and 9 were devoted to the “hundreds” of protestors:

“hundreds of protesters lined the streets of stalled traffic, waving anti-Palin and McCain sentiments”

Westword took pictures of the protestor… and we can safely say they numbered about one.

Or, maybe as the Westword reporter said: A Few dozen….
Funny thing is, The Daily Camera did not have any photos of anyone on their web site this morning, except Sarah Palin giving her speech.
Something that the left needs to remember about this rally is that it took place on a monday morning when most people are at work and school, and busy moms can’t get away from home. If the McCain people will organize a rally at the biggest venue in Colorado and take a few days to get the word out, I think the world would be stunned to know how many passionate Colorado women would attend a Palin Rally.
But that remains to be seen. As for the Camera…I think the reporter forgot to take his lens cap off his CAMERA before taking pictures…either that or they sent an intern.
