Drug Awareness

I have always felt a connection to Andrea Yates because of the Post Partum Psychosis I experienced after the birth of my first child.
Here is a copy of an email I received from Ann Blake Tracy Today. She sends out occasional updates to her email group. I completely agree with the message of this press conference.

The International Coalition for Drug Awareness is holding a Press
Conference on Tuesday, July 18th at 12 noon at the Harris County
Courthouse Criminal Justice Center, 1201 Franklin, Houston, Texas in
support of Andrea and Rusty Yates and their families.
Due to the antidepressant induced homicidal effects of Effexor, we
are calling on the FDA to issue similar warnings of homicidal
thoughts that are induced by all antidepressants. Effexor is one of
the antidepressants Andrea Yates was taking at the time she drowned
her children.
Many members of ICFDA will be in attendance to discuss the tragedies
they have suffered in their own families, tragedies that are similar
to the Yates’.
In attendance at the conference will be: Antonio Ortiz, Florida
Director of ICFDA, whose fiancee shot and killed her twin boys while
withdrawing from Zoloft and starting on Paxil: Jurgen Viktor,
Southern California Director of ICFDA, whose son, Jared, stabbed an
elderly lady 61 times after only 6 days on Paxil: Jay Baadsgard,
Washington Director of ICFDA, whose son, Corey, while withdrawing
from Paxil and starting on Effexor, took a gun to school and held his
classmates hostage: Amy, from Ohio, whose husband, while on Effexor,
drowned their two year old son: and the father of John Paul Marsh of
Texas, who, while on Paxil, killed his best friend
Also in attendance will be Ann Blake Tracy, Ph.D, author of “Prozac:
Panacea or Pandora: Out Serotonin Nightmare” and Executive Director
of ICFDA as well as an expert court witness for the past 14 years on
antidepressant induced violent cases.
Rusty Yates is hoping to be there for the conference although the
judge has issued a gag order for him. Rusty Yates’ mother and aunt
will be in attendance.
One important message these families want the world to understand is
there was clearly little to no warning at all that their loved ones
had reached a toxic level of their antidepressants.
