Jane Fonda was the celebrity extraordinaire at the recent Anti War rally that took place on the mall in Washington DC. Here is a clip taken from a C-Span Broadcast with commentary by me before and after her comments.
As I listened to Jane Fonda a couple of things came into my mind.
First: She claimed that during Viet Nam it took six years for the military families to “wake up” and realize how wrong the war was. But during this war it has only taken three years for the military families to wake up the “the Truth”.
You know what I think the difference is this time around?
During Viet Nam we had a whole contingent of Media Personalities who were comfortable giving aid and comfort to the enemy during a time of war. Top of the list was the “most trusted man in America”, Walter Cronkite, and his loud mouthed cohort in crime was Dan Rather. These traitors have never been held accountable for their words. John Kerry also tops the list of Vietnam Era War Traitors.
Want to know what is different this time around Jane?? The fact that with alternative Media, those Americans who would like to get both sides of the story are completely at their liberty to do so wether that comes from talk radio, C-Span, The Internet, the Blogs, and some of the print and television media here in America.
The fact that I can copy, share, and comment on your most “useful of Idiot” remarks and then put it up here on my blog to share with the ten thousand or so people who come in for a look every month is what has changed this time around.
The world is different. It has had a clear eyed view, if it has had the courage to look, to see what collectivism has wrought in our world.
Yes, things are different this time.
I predict that ten years from now Iraq will be a thriving Democracy, with a healthy economy, a robust political system, and a full partner with the Free Nations in spreading Democracy in our world. That is what I see, and what I happily predict. Every life lost during this war, every limb blasted off, every tear of every parent who has lost a loved one, every spouse, every child who now has to grow up without that parental love…every bit of blood, money, and sorrow has been worth it.
Freedom isn’t Free.
You want to know how you will be remembered by history Jane? As the biggest loudmouth idiot the West has ever produced. Yes, you are the queen of moonbattyness and your words from last saturday are just evidence that you have learned nothing from the lessons of Viet Nam. You are a traitor Jane. Useful Idiot Number one.
