Edwards’s breathtaking mind-changing.
I know many of my homebirth friends find it impossible to believe that I am a NEO-Conservative who is a strong Romney supporter.
I know that many of you feel comfortable voting for John Edwards because he is so willing to “stand up to the Big Pharma Companies”.
As Mr. Krauthammer so devastatingly notes in this piece, John Edwards has no moral compass with which to keep him steady. His breathtaking flips and flops makes Romneys political evolution towards conservatism (Which MOST conservatives experience as they mature), makes him look like the weeble of the bunch.

“Weebles wooble, but they don’t fall down!”
One of the biggest problems I have with John Edwards and Bill and Hillary Clinton is the tendency to lie, about…well….EVERYTHING. Barack Obama, although a socialist in word and deed, strikes me as an honest person, and I hope he is the democratic nominee.
I am much more comfortable with A Mitt Romney as president, who, even though he publicly supports and endorses Big Pharma, is an honest man. And I feel safer with an honest person at the helm of our country than a Fraud like Hillary Clinton. Romney also has a profound understanding of Economics and Capitalism, and is going to fight the War on Terror with wisdom. He has a complete understanding of the job he will have as Commander in Chief of the military.
I am not Anti-Pharma.
I have deadly allergies and MANY times my life has been saved by chemicals. I keep my epi pen and inhaler in my purse at all times, and I am grateful that my life has been extended over and over by these life saving chemicals.
That being said, I believe the psychiatric drug industry/infrastructure needs a complete and utter overhaul and I have major issues with the Birth Industry. And I believe consumers should be given complete informed consent by the medical people before they use any drug or have any procedure done. I also have serious issues with forced vaccinations and the bullying parents experience to use allopathic drugs and surgery when children are ill. I also hate that so many American Tax dollars back up this one form of healing when a whole world of wellness is out there for us to experience in the form of chiropractic, homeopathy, herbs, vitamins, nutrition, massage, etc etc..
The democrats want to nationalize the whole allopathic mess and I believe that would be a tragic mistake. It would legitimize drugs and surgery as the ONLY form of healing available to the American consumer and ensure this medical monopoly for generations to come.
I believe the answer for our society is to privatize the whole big health care mess and let the market decide which forms of healing will stay and which will go.
Ron Paul had an interesting say on this topic recently, Rixa Freeze, again, had this on her blog this morning. Ron Paul on licensure of midwives.
QUOTE:
Presidential Candidate Ron Pal discusses health care licensing.
Some of his main points:
licensing is a monopoly; it keeps other people from competing.
licensing is better than prohibition, but the ideal is that people make up their own minds.
I’m not in favor of government prohibiting people from making private choices. I might have a medical opinion, but politically people should make their own choices.
I wonder what Dr. Paul, who is an obstetrician, would think of Unassisted Childbirth???
