Go Vote at a Movie Theatre TONIGHT!

This NRO Article has it spot on, that purchasing a ticket today for An American Carol is a vote for Freedom and Democracy. I will personally be taking a car load of people to our local movie theatre.

Frank Gaffney Said:

“Itโ€™s election season, so it is appropriate that an important vote will be cast this weekend. No, I am not talking about early balloting in Ohio or Oregon for the November presidential race. Rather, this vote is a national one โ€” and it will be taking place at a theater near you.

This weekend, the returns will be tallied on box-office sales of the opening weekend of An American Carol โ€” a marvelously politically incorrect take-off on the timeless Dickensian morality tale. Set around the Fourth of July in contemporary America rather than a Victorian Yuletide, it has been created and directed by my friend, the zany and wildly successful David Zucker.”

For me watching this movie tonight brings me full circle in my political activism around the War On Terror. I was participating on a Political Board for Mothers back when Farenheit 9-11 came out. Because it is part of my religious beliefs not to go to R- Rated Movies, I spent a couple weeks wondering what all of the hoopla was about as the liberal mothers on the board quoted Michael Moore as if he was Moses as we debated the war in Iraq.
I finally could not stand it anymore and one night in a fit of passion quietly stole away from home to go see the movie while it was still in theatres. I was absolutely gobsmacked as I watched that movie of children flying kites in Sadaams Iraq – all was peaceful and serene in the people’s paradise of Iraq, what a complete load of marxist balderdash. I hated the way he manipulated the movie to make it appear as if our soldiers were a bunch of dupes who had been lied to by their recruiting officers.
My own brother, a forty something father of three sons was serving in Iraq at the time, not exactly the “kid” Moore was famously blathering about in his movie.
That very week I joined Free Republic and began writing, doing anything I could to support our President, Our Troops and their Mission.
Being able to attend this movie tonight, a complete lampooning of Socialist Michael Moores Political World View, will complete the circle of my own activism.
I walked out of Fareinheit 9-11 spitting mad. I ran to my car and smacked a couple of trees on the way to vent my frustration with the message of that movie.
I plan to walk out of An American Carol tonight happy as can be, and having laughed my butt off.
Go see it, vote with your purchase of a ticket and yell to the moonbats in Hollywood that this is the type of movie we want to see as our country’s entertainment.
