The Brian T Campbell Sr. Family
The Platform of Brian Thomas Campbell, Sr.ย
I first talked to Brian on the phone about a year ago as he was planning the first Denver Tea Party.
I offered to help him organize it and ended up singing the National Anthem and giving a quick address to the crowd about “Going Galt”.
A few months later we organized the Tax Day Tea Party in my home and Brian, his wife Angela, and two of their children came over for lunch while we talked about how best to organize the event.ย While this wonderful family was in my home, I was able to get a sense of who they were.ย As people of Faith it was obvious to me that they had a sincere commitment to their religion and I was impressed that Angela was homeschooling her five children.
At the Teaparty, which was a smashing success, Brian showed great leadership as he attempted to pull together the many voices yammering for who should speak and what should be the tone of the event.ย Although I felt that too many politicians had been invited to speak, the overallย message was one of Freedom and Fiscal Responsibility by our elected leaders and that message was one I completely endorse.
I have read through Brians complete platform on his blog and agree with just about everything outlined.ย I believe he will bring a fresh perspective and new energy to the American Senate and I am happy to support him in this campaign.
One portion of our conversation that has stayed with me for this past year was when we were talking about our generation of Americans.ย He pointed out to me that forty somethings in our country don’t have any particular moniker.ย We aren’t “Boomers” or Generation X or Y, we are that group of people born in the late sixties and early seventies who are all in the thick of it with our businesses and families, who don’t really have any sort of identity or particular function as a group of American Citizens.ย
Brian expressed to me his belief that our generation should be the one that restored Constitutional Government to the United States, and that we had a special charge to expose the Marxism that was ruining everything wherever it showed up in our society.
I told him I could not agree more.ย
As we continued to talk he told me that he was born in Cook County hospital in Chicago during the Chicago riots, literally the riots were taking place while his Mother gave birth to him.
I laughed and told him that I had been born in Detroit in 68 a few months after the Detroit riots.ย Both of us had been spoon fed Socialism during our Public Education and had completely rejected it.
I don’t know how many of us involved in the Colorado Teaparty movement have felt “called” as Brian and I have to help restore Constitutional Principles and smash the Creeping Socialistic State, but it would seem to me that if our generation of forty something Americans really want to leave a legacy for our children and grandchildren, the place to begin is in electing someone like Brian to the Senate of the United States Congress.
I suspect he will hitย the Senateย like a small tornado of new energy, enthusiasm, and effectiveness.
