Get Rid of Medicare! Get rid of Social Security! Let all of the FRAUD, WASTE, INEFFICIENCIES, OVERUSE OF non-essential products and services, and ABSOLUTE TOP DOWN CONTROL of American Health Care by the Pharma Companies be COMPLETELY DIVORCED from all Taxpayer Money.
And after a time, we will see what the American People are willing to pay for and at what cost.

I’ve watched with interest as various groups have tried to get Glenn Beck off the air and now the same people are mad at the CEO of Whole Foods for telling them the truth about health care in America.
I’ve lived in Boulder for almost eighteen years and have been close friends with many small business owners. I won’t out anyone, but many times, when I mentioned to these friends that I was a conservative they would confide to me that they were too, but had to present either a “don’t care about politics” front, or pretend to be a screaming liberal in order to keep business flowing.
I only know one small business owner in Boulder who is openly conservative and I applaud her for her courage.
I also applaud John Mackey for making the difficult choice to out himself as a Free Market Libertarian and speak for sanity regarding our health care policies. He articulated perfectly sound, practical principles that could revolutionize health care in our country. The whiny left that has yet to face reality about Medicare and Social Security going bust in a couple years needs to look at the big picture and open up their minds to the facts.
As a free market lover and promoter of constitutional government, I believe abolishing all of the nanny state government programs has to happen at some point, but I agree with Ron Paul who claimed that if you take 70 years getting people on the Dole, you should graduallly wean them from those government checks over time, so as not to dump tens of millions of people with no income into the marketplace looking for jobs.

We have had a fun, busy summer. School started two days ago. Allison and Jeff started early morning seminary yesterday, and this morning my baby, Benjamin aged 6 1/2 started first grade.
It is a great day for me as a mom. Our oldest daughter will be 21 on her next birthday, so I have been home with my family tending to someone or other for almost 21 years.
With Benjamin in school all day, I will have much more free time. I spent this morning paying bills, blogging, washing laundry, dishes, and cooking breakfast for our family. I also walked the dog, and spent an hour working on logistics for the Denver Teaparty that I am organizing for September 12th.
But now I am tired…and I think I will go take a nap! Whenever I thought about this day coming, with no toddler, preschooler, or kindergartener by my side during the day, I always thought that what I would do first when I had a real day to myself was simply, “go back to bed”. So that is what I am going to do.
